Humans are always collecting and consuming, we filter our experiences and memory
through our items. We want to have some sort of record that we were here, and so photos, rocks, books, jewelry, souvenirs, artwork, legos ....

and in virtuality, files and downloads. These little capturings of nostalgia forms an archive of our identity, a physical manifestation of our legacy, a consortium of our existence.

While collecting is very personal and distinctive to one person, we use our collections as a means to relate to others; celebrating other people’s collections.

Yet IN VIRTUALITY, we have access to the largest collection of all, the digital archive, which almost fully encompasses the collective knowledge of humankind. Collecting now has no monetary or physical cap, the production and storage of digital images and files is endless.
